Easy Free Method Gets MASSIVE Website Traffic

I was reading the newspaper the other day I suddenly had a thought. There was quite a lot of adverts in the paper but I by-passed those. Instead I just read the articles that interested me. So why was this?

Well, we don't want to be sold anything. If I want to buy something then I'll go looking for it.

I spend a lot of time searching the internet for information. Am I looking for sales pages? No, not unless I want something and then I go searching.

The results I tend to click on and read are information.

Fortunately, the top results for most queries seem to be article websites. These are ones showing relevant articles based on my web search.

What's the lesson to be learned here?

Basically this. If we all mainly look for information before we look for sales pages then this is the way to get buyers. How is this?

When we make a decision to look for something to buy it's usually because we've heard about something that interests us.

My friend Tony met me in the bar 2 weeks ago. He knew that I was still using dial-up internet. Not broadband. I wanted it already but wasn't sure, for quite some time, which one to go for.

Tony told me how he'd recently changed his broadband supplier. He said how brilliant it was, what it did and the price deal. I was very interested.

So next I started looking for the person selling this deal. After which, I shortly signed up. I'm very happy with my decision.

The point I'm making is...

I wasn't looking for this man to sell me broadband. However, after hearing information about it I decided to go off and look. What are these two steps?

Quite simply, (#1), I got information about something and then, (#2), went looking where I could buy it. What does this mean?

I don't mean you just write articles recommending products. But if your article points out advantages or pitfalls and how a particular purchase helps...then this works. Or...

It could be an article about how to do something or the solution to a problem. After, you mention that a perfect tool (product) helps them carry out your advice. There's a problem?

The way most people write articles, titles and link to their website is not right. Often, the readers and website traffic could be far higher if the article titles, text and website link were written differently.

I've seen this problem with most of the articles out there. Think about it.

Why do just a fraction of articles become popular?

They do something different...that's why. I've found out (quite by accident) the best way of doing this.

Top Affiliate Program to Work from Home

Affiliate programs are being adopted by more and more online businesses all the time as they are a great way to have products promoted and sold by more representatives (affiliates) without having to employ an increasingly larger sales force. Simply by offering some reasonable incentive to ordinary people to work from home promoting their product/s a business can sell more product/s more cost effectively.

Affiliate programs on the internet are an excellent way to create long term income for life and can become your main income source while working from the comfort of your home. You can participate in an affiliate program and be earning good income with little out going cost.

Working from home has many benefits, most of which I'm sure you would immediately recognize. The commonly mentioned ones are such things as not having to commute, more time with family or friends and being your own boss. One benefit though less frequently mentioned is that of tax benefits. Once you have a business at home you have a range of potential tax deductions on things that would not normally be tax deductible. You can claim against your affiliate earnings a percentage of your home costs such as electricity, heating, computer and internet, telephone and home office furnishings, all of which can be a great money saving.

Many stay at home moms are now looking to online affiliate programs to earn a living and there are many that are succeeding well in this area. As the US economic problems deepen and the recession tends to creep worldwide there will be more men considering affiliate programs as an income source.

To build an online business from home does not necessarily require having sales experience or being a sales guru. There are many examples of affiliates who have built a very successful online business who have started without prior experience. But an important point to consider is that as an untrained sales representative and probably no natural salesperson, which applies to most of us, how well does the product sell itself and how well does the businesses' website present the product. You need to be confident that once you do the basic promotion and get a prospective customer to visit the businesses' website that the business itself will convert the prospect to a customer and you'll then get your commission.

The important thing in finding an appropriate program is cost of product/s, how well the program's product/s sell, how well they fulfill a use or a need and how big the potential market is. There is not much point in trying to promote something if it is too expensive, the majority of people will not spend much online or don't want to get locked into any expensive monthly fees. You can't expect to make many commissions if not many people are likely to find a use or need for the product, or if the potential buying public for the product is very limited.

After much searching and having tried various affiliate and MLM, Network Marketing, programs over many years I have found a multi level affiliate program that addresses all of the issues mentioned. It not only pays a commission for each sale they make through your affiliate link, but also pays commissions on all those that are introduced by those you introduce and this is where it becomes really powerful as an affiliate program money earner.

Internet Marketing Strategies - Part One

Developing a successful internet marketing strategy is an essential part of your online success. In order to succeed, you must develop and implement a strategic plan that includes all of the following:
  • A great product
  • A web site specifically designed to sell
  • A killer marketing strategy

Each step plays an important role in your overall strategy and must be developed to its fullest potential. If even one step fails, your chances of success will be minimal.

Developing Your Product
Your first step will be to develop a great product. You're probably thinking that's easier said than done, but it's really not. The absolute best product is one that you can develop yourself and deliver over the Internet. With today's technology, there is absolutely no reason why you can't create your own product. The knowledge you have within your own mind is extremely valuable. Everybody is good at something, has a special talent or some specialized knowledge. Use this knowledge to create a product.

The key to developing a great product is exclusiveness. Your product should be unique and not be in competition with hundreds of other similar products. You must give your potential customers exactly what they want. Develop a high-quality product that fills a void to increase your chance of success.

Another consideration of great importance is your target market. Keep in mind, the Internet is a global marketplace. Develop a product with a large geographic target and a wide appeal. A great product will fulfill a need or desire and provide instant gratification.

Here are a few of the top sellers:

• Software
• Information
• Private sites
Internet services

Before you develop your product, do some research -- find out exactly what people want and develop your product accordingly.

The most important consideration when developing your product is quality. Your product should not only deliver what you promise, but should go above and beyond the expected and overdeliver. Your customers satisfaction is of the utmost importance.

Developing Your Web Site
Once you've developed a great product, your next step will be to develop a great web site. Your web site must be specifically designed to sell your product.

Everything within your web site should have one purpose -- getting your visitor to take action. Words are the most powerful marketing tool you have. The right words will turn your visitors into customers. The wrong words will cause them to click away and never return.

Your words are the entire foundation of your business. Your product, your web site and your marketing strategies all depend upon your words. Fancy graphics don't make sales -- words do.

Every word, sentence and headline should have one specific purpose -- to lead your potential customer to your order page. Write your web site copy as if you are talking to just one person. Identify a problem and validate that one visitor's need for a solution. Continue to write and explain why your product is the solution to their problem. Tell them exactly what your product will do for them -- why it will solve their problems and how. Pack your copy with benefits and more benefits. Write to persuade -- that's the bottom line.

Developing Your Marketing Strategies
Your marketing strategy is the final process of your plan. Your plan must include both short-term and long-term strategies in order to succeed.

Short term marketing strategies are those that bring you a temporary boost in traffic. Although these techniques are very important to your over-all plan, they are only a temporary traffic source and must not be solely relied upon.
Short term marketing strategies include:

• Purchasing advertising
• Bulletin Boards
Search Engines

Long term marketing strategies are those that bring you a steady stream of targeted traffic over time. These strategies will continue to produce results even years down the road.

Long term marketing strategies include:

• Opt-in Lists
• Freebies
• Content

By creating and implementing a balanced marketing strategy, using both short-term and long-term strategies, you will drive a steady stream of targeted traffic to your web site.

If you use this simple formula when creating your Internet marketing strategy and excel at all three, you can literally guarantee your success.

Blogs ,Google Adsense and easy income

Blogs bring in traffic where as Google Adsense is the medium to cash that incoming traffic.Google AdSense is easy to install on a web page or blog and constitutes additional source of income without spending anything. You have to apply on-line for Google AdSense Program and generally approval comes from Google within two days. Those having AdWord account can use AdWord e-mail address and password for AdSense account also.

After acceptance of application, Google confirms creation of your Adsense account thru e-mail. You get a code for AdSense text ads and another code for AdSense search. These codes are to be installed on web page or blog and within minutes the page will start displaying ads from Google, and a Google search bar. AdSense is available in dozen languages worldwide.

The code for AdSense can be placed on any of your web pages. I think placing it on your blog will give you distinct advantage because blogs have several points in their favor. They are easily indexed by search engines. Recently two of my simple blogs were indexed by Google within 2-3 days of submission of URL's which I think is quite fast. With Yahoo! it is even easier - just add the URL of your blog to your My Yahoo page and Yahoo! will start accessing it immediately. GoogleAlert is a free tool that can be used to know when your blog is indexed by Google.

You can have your blog up and running in minutes free of cost from several sites that provide this service. I personally use blogger.com. With blogs you do not need to worry about designing websites, registering domain name or hiring web site hosting service. You simply write your content on the blog and it is ready for publication.

An excellent example on how to blend the blogs with adsense can be found on websites

With AdSense wide range of options is available - number of ads for display, shape and size of display, color schemes. More than 200 colors are available from which you can choose color for border, background and text. 24 pre-set color palettes are readily available; in addition you can have your own custom-palette to match with the appearance of your web page. Similarly, color schemes are available for Google search bar.

When the web page is opened, Google ads are placed which match with the content of the page and are highly relevant. Google finds right ads for the web page from 100,000 AdWord advertisers.

Several options are available for the ads that you would like to be displayed on your page. Ad filters can be activated which will block up to 200 URL's of your choice which you do not want to show on your page. You may like to filter away ads from your competitors. You can even choose your own default ads for display. Google uses sensitive content filters to prevent display of sensitive material. If you find that your page is not really getting relevant ads, it may be time to look critically at the content of the page, particularly the keywords used in text, links and tags. Little SE optimization of the page should resolve this problem.

Sometimes Google places public service ads when no target ads are available. To suppress public service ad, it is possible to specify your own image ad or HTML page ad which will appear in place of public service ad. This ensures that some ad is always present there. Or, if you like, the space reserved for Adsense ads can be made to collapse.

AdSense tracker is another useful feature which tracks the ads on your pages and generates report for you. The reports can be customized based on requirement. Typically reports can give page impressions displayed, number of clicks and click-thru rates. It is also possible to check earnings any time.

Web page owner can make use of all these facilities and try to get best results.

With the help of Ad tracker lot of useful information can be obtained - which ads are doing well, which color combination gets better results, which location of the web page is best for showing ads and so on. This analysis can be used to improve traffic as well as click-thru rates.

With AdSense you have virtually nothing to lose. If you have not yet ins

Clickbank – The Affiliate Marketer’s Marketplace Dream Come True

Many affiliate marketers utilize Clickbank for their promotions. Since Clickbank is the largest provider of digital products on the internet, this only makes sense. But how many of these affiliate marketers actually take the time to do research on what are going to be the best products to promote. Do they look beyond what is the most popular or what has the highest gravity score? How many new affiliate marketer know that there is much more to picking a product?

How many affiliate marketers actually take a look to see if the product they are promoting with Clickbank is actually friendly to the affiliate marketer? Most new affiliate marketers only know to look at the popularity and gravity scores and then just start promoting the product. They do not realize that professional affiliate marketers will create their own landing page if they don’t like the pitch page or if it is not affiliate marketer friendly.

An affiliate marketer friendly pitch page has a professional look, properly utilizes keyword density and has only ONE “out” off of the page. The “out” is what many new affiliate marketers miss when reviewing their product. They will just start promoting a product because it has high popularity or gravity scores, not realizing that they are just promoting for the publisher and not for themselves. When they don’t make any sales, many will get discouraged and quit. So, the next time you review a pitch page, check to see if it has only any one of these “outs” included in the page.

Free newsletter opt-in box

  • This is where the publisher offers a newsletter to anyone that signs up. It has been proven that it sometimes takes up to 6-7 emails or newsletters before someone will make a purchase. By getting the visitor to sign up for a newsletter, the publisher has the opportunity to get the 6-7 emails out to increase their odds of a conversion.

Free report opt-in box

  • This is where the publisher offers a free report in exchange for an email address. Again, the advantage here is that the publisher can now send out several email promotions/communications that will increase their odds of making a conversion.

Free e-course opt-in box

  • These have become very popular. A person signs up for a 3-5 part course from the publisher. Included in these e-courses are promotions, again increasing the odds of a conversion.

If any of these are on the page, it is human nature to sign up for the free stuff before making the commitment to purchase. Each of these allows the visitor an “out” which benefits the product owner (publisher) and not the affiliate marketer.

When reviewing a pitch page, the only “out” you want on the page is the one that takes the visitor to the purchase page. Now there can be several of these call to action “outs”, but they should all lead to the same page – the one that actually takes the order.

So next time you are reviewing a Clickbank product for promotion, make sure it is affiliate marketer friendly. Remember – it’s all about getting the conversion that benefits both the publisher AND the affiliate marketer.

Easy Money With Squidoo?

If you've not put some articles on Squidoo yet you're missing out on a great way to make some extra cash. For those you don't know it, Squidoo is a bit like a blog or wiki with advertising. You can write about pretty much anything you like using the user friendly interface and the completed webpage, known as a lens, will carry advertising that you share in.

The advertising programs available through Squidoo are AdSense, eBay, Amazon, Cafepress and more to come. On these programs you will receive 50% of the revenue generated by your ads. You can also include your own affiliate links to other programs, these are entirely your own.

So why use Squidoo instead of building a website or blog? Simple, its just so simple! Anybody who has surfed the net and used a keyboard before can produce a masterpiece in an hour! Individual modules can be used for different purposes, the text you write, Amazon products that might be relevant, RSS feeds to keep an element of changing content and more. The modules can be ordered in whatever way you like so feel free to experiment.

Using Squidoo also gets your content in front of an audience quickly unlike standard websites which can take months to start seeing traffic. This is because Squidoo already has thousands of people browsing through its pages and also because search engines like Google love the ever expanding content so tend to index the pages quickly.

So how do you make more money? Simple again! Write some good content on a subject you know about, or which you have researched for your lens. Sign up as an affiliate with relevant programs at Commission Junction, Clickbank, Linkshare or anywhere you find them and place your affiliate links in your content using a little simple html. You simply write the links into your text modules using the affiliate tracking links the program gives you.

You can drive more traffic to your lens anyway you like, try writing articles and submitting them to article directories, join relevant lensgroups (Squidoo makes this bit real easy) comment on other lenses (and this bit too), bookmark your lens on social bookmarking sites like del.icio.us and Digg, ping your lens at pingmatic.com, any method really other than spam email traffic.

By using just a little imagination you can have traffic flowing to those affiliate links and earning money. Some find it rather addictive and have many lenses on their pet subjects all bringing in an income. This is particulary effective for niche marketing, it is definitely better to have several lenses focused on say different breeds of dogs than it is to have one lens all about dogs in general!

There is a feel good factor here too as some of the revenue generated by the inbuilt Squidoo advertising goes to various charities, so the more you write the more they benefit. Squidoo represents money for you, money for Squidoo and money for charities, why would you not want to give it a go?

Why Your First Online Business Should Be Google Adsense

Since its launch in 2003, the Google Adsense program has revolutionized web publishing, translating visitors' clicks into money, turning blogs and websites into money making machines for millions of website owners. The Adsense program is a big revenue generator for Google, too. The company earned some $2.7 billion in Adsense revenues last year. If you're thinking of making money online here are some reasons why your first online business should be Google Adsense :

It's FREE and EASY.
You first need to apply to join the Adsense program via an online form. Once you've been accepted into the program, you will be given a snippet of code containing your unique ID to paste into your website to enable the ads to appear. It's that simple to start making money with Adsense.

Everybody can make money.
With Google Adsense, it doesn't matter if your website is big or small. The amount of money you make is generally proportional to the traffic that your website attracts. No site is too small to make money. Even if you could make an extra ten dollars a day (which is really very achievable) by just pasting a snippet of code into your web pages, I'd call that a great way to make money!

No worries about finding advertisers.
Finding the right advertisers and the right place to advertise can be a tricky business for both publishers and advertisers.Google, by their sheer size is a magnet that attracts advertisers and publishers for all sorts of products and services. They become the broker between publishers and advertisers. All you need to do is concentrate on your website.

Great for beginners.
The majority of newbies who try to make money on the Internet call it quits within twelve months, not because they want to, but because they get lost in the jungle of online money-making. This leads to frustration and disappointment and eventually, defeat. Google Adsense cuts a clear and simple path for everyone to follow – join the program, paste the code, improve your website content and get paid when people click on the ads.

Google is great
Google is on the cutting edge of search engine and pay-per-click technology. Even as Adsense became the spectacular success that it is today, Google never stopped developing and refining ways to help regular people with regular websites monetize their traffic. They have some of the best brains working for them.

Making money while you sleep
I can honestly say that I make money while I sleep. Round the clock, every click earns me anywhere from 5 cents to a couple of dollars. Since joining the Adsense program, my day starts off bright and cheery with a visit to my reports page that tells me how much I earned while sleeping!

Earnings grow with your website.
While Adsense does generate more income on certain types of websies than other less popular niche sites, the general consensus is that as long as you continue to build on your website's popularity and add good, useful content, your Adsense income WILL continue to grow. More traffic logically equals more clicks and more money.

Small change for some, BIG money for others
Perhaps the ones who are reaping the greatest benefit from the Adsense program are the publishers from the developing world. While a US100 dollar check may not mean very much to a webmaster in New York, it can mean a couple months salary to someone in Africa. Stories abound in Adsense-related websites and forums of how this program has changed the lives of thousands of people. Many have been able to make a comfortable living solely on the income derived from the Adsense program.

Earning money with Google Adsense gives new website owners hope and a clear sense of direction. Even if you earn 50 cents a day at first, it opens your eyes to the possibilities that Google Adsense presents. It's a straightforward way to make money compared to the often complex path of affiliate marketing. There's every reason to believe that Google Adsense can only get bigger and better, so it makes perfect sense that every newcomer to online money making should give the Adsense program a try.

How To Market Your Music Thru MySpace And Get Noticed!

Marketing your MySpace artist page will help you increase hits to your page which will translate into a growing fan base. But you should also promote your page in other ways.

As the internet becomes increasingly easy to navigate and to use as a marketing tool, placing your MySpace URL in various places will help people find you and learn more about your music.

Marketing on your web site

Marketing your MySpace artist page will help you increase hits to your page which will translate into a growing fan base. But you should also promote your page in other ways. As the internet becomes increasingly easy to navigate and to use as a marketing tool, placing your MySpace URL in various places will help people find you and learn more about your music.

Marketing on your web site always include your MySpace URL on your bands web site and vice versa. The more opportunities you give people to listen to your music and learn more about your sound, the more profits you will earn and the more popular you will become. Band web sites can be used to promote your latest CD, downloads or upcoming gigs. While your MySpace can be used to find new fans to upload samples of your music and generate buzz within the online music community. Marketing on promotional materials add your MySpace URL to fliers, business cards, media kits, radio spots, internet ads and any other places you use to promote your music.

Unless you have a recording contract you will have to do all music promotion yourself. Take advantage of local newspapers and magazines that do write-ups about your band by asking them to mention your MySpace URL. This is especially important if you don't have a web site yet. Add URLs to CDs and other merchandise if you release a CD. You can promote your web site and MySpace page by including both on the CD or other merchandise you want to sell. Many musicians are producing their own albums these days instead of waiting for a recording contract. Use MySpace to draw more people to your web site or third-party distribution site. Including URLs on your CD will give others a way of finding out more about you and your music. Include URLs when contacting record labels If you decide to contact record labels or you are approached by a record label, make sure they have your URLs and other contact information. This will make it easier for them to contact you.

Blogs, forums, and other communication online include your MySpace URL on the bottom of all blogs and forum postings. This will help spread the word and peak the interest of those who are on the message boards. While you do not want to promote your page when leaving a comment, it is fine to leave your URL. This is considered your online calling card. This can be an extremely useful way to market yourself, especially if you are an expert in the topic that is being discussed or know a lot about the music business. People are more apt to look up information of those who leave well written, intelligent responses.

Conclusion - Self-promotion can be very time consuming. While it is one of the most important parts of earning a living as a musician, it is also one of the toughest. MySpace can make self-promotion easier by introducing you to many types of people on the internet. By promoting your profile page, you are giving others the opportunity to learn more about your and your music opportunities you give people to listen to your music and learn more about your sound, the more profits you will earn and the more popular you will become.

While you dont want to promote your page when leaving a comment, it is fine to leave your URL. This is considered your online calling card.

This can be an extremely useful way to market yourself, especially if you are an expert in the topic that is being discussed or know a lot about the music business. People are more apt to look up information of those who leave well written, intelligent responses.

Conclusion

Self-promotion can be very time consuming. While it is one of the most important parts of earning a living as a musician, it is also one of the toughest.

MySpace can make self-promotion easier by introducing you to many types of people on the internet. By promoting your profile page, you are giving others the opportunity to learn more about your and your music.

TEN TIPS TO SELL TRAVEL ON EBAY

Becoming a seller on eBay can be daunting. Becoming a travel seller can be impossible, unless you know the secrets. My tips on selling on eBay can apply to all categories of items, but some steps are unique to selling travel.

The travel industry is highly regulated on EBay, as it should be. High standards keep out disreputable sellers and scam artists, and add to your own company’s trustworthiness when you are approved by eBay.

1. Before you are even thinking about selling travel on eBay, it is important to get a username and email address just for eBay. Registration is free and only takes a few minutes. Register as a seller and you can use the same username to buy as well. Choose a name that reflects what you sell i.e., “Bermudabound” rather than “sexyblueeyes”. Other eBay members will come to recognize you by your User ID, so it's a good idea to choose one you'll want to use for the long term.

2. Your eBay name has sunglasses (i.e., read “shady character”) for the first 30 days, so don’t try to sell anything while you are wearing shades. Use this time to buy on eBay and learn good practices from other sellers.

3. Set up a PayPal account. EBay buyers feel more confident purchasing something from a seller who accepts PayPal. According to PayPal, “Listings that offer PayPal are 6% more likely to sell and experience a 5% average increase in final price.” Go to www. Paypal.com. Get a business account. Registration is free.

4. In the first 30 days, buy small items on EBay, pay for them promptly. I have always found eBay sellers to offer good values, provided that you check their feedback listing first.

5. Pay your seller promptly, because then you will always get positive feedback from your seller. Your feedback profile is the most important aspect of your reputation at eBay. Feedback is extremely important on eBay, as your future buyers can evaluate you at a glance. Even one strike against you counts heavily. Your feedback score also helps later with qualifying to run banner ads on eBay, and to have eBay pay some of your advertising costs.

6. Create your “About Me” page on eBay. Use this page to tell other eBay users about yourself and your interests, your experience and your products.

7. While you are waiting the 30 days, also become a) ID verified and b)square trade approved. a) Get ID Verified through eBay as an extra sign of security for buyers. When a member gets ID Verified, a third-party company working with eBay confirms the member's identity by cross checking their contact information across consumer and business databases. You'll see the ID Verify icon in verified members' profiles.B) The Square Trade Seal is one way for sellers to show bidders that they are committed to high selling standards and have had their identity verified by a third party. You will need a credit card and your IATA, ARC, or seller of travel number. Both are requirements for selling travel, and you must place these numbers as the first lines of your ads on EBay. All members listing airline tickets, cruises, vacation packages, or lodging must be participants in the Seller Verify by SquareTrade Program. This program combines verification of sellers with ongoing monitoring. For instructions on this, go to eBay.com.

8. When you are ready to list your items at auction, sell small stuff first, building customers and credibility. Sell all items with no reserve, at the lowest price you can afford to accept, and fill all orders promptly.

9. Choose carefully what you will sell. You cannot sell some travel certificates, and all listing must list the exceptions, blackout dates, and extra taxes and shipping charges. Travel agents, and other businesses selling travel services are regulated in eBay. According to the eBay rules for selling travel, “Businesses and individuals who sell and/or arrange air or sea travel or accommodations (but do not directly provide the travel service themselves) may list air and ship related travel items (i.e. airplane tickets and cruise trips), along with accommodations, on eBay only if they are licensed as sellers of travel lawfully able to do business in all 50 states and they themselves will be booking the travel for the winning bidder. Their listings should clearly set out their California seller of travel license number as well as any other license information required in other states. It is against eBay policy for travel clearinghouse affiliates that are not actual agents booking the travel themselves, to list travel auctions on the site. Sellers are required to include the following disclaimer in all listings for travel exactly as it appears below and in a text size and color that can easily be seen and read by all bidders:

"By listing this auction I verify that I am the actual travel agent or travel provider and not a third party affiliate. The travel/accommodations in this auction will be booked directly through me and not an outside agency. I also verify that, other than the government taxes and related government fees stated within the listing description itself, there will be absolutely no additional fees, charges or after auction purchases associated with booking the travel within this listing."

For travel services other than air or sea travel, businesses and individuals may offer gift certificates or coupons that are issued by a specific provider of travel, such as a gift certificate to a particular hotel. They may not, however, offer travel club memberships or "choice travel" certificates.”

10. Build a store. EBay stores are free for the first 30 days. Afterwards, they are $9.95 a month. According to eBay, Store sellers see on average a 25% incremental increase in sales the 3 months after opening their Store.” Here is where you can list all those other items that are higher priced, but good value at a low listing fee - at about 02 cents, rather than $4.80 for an item over $500. Auction and Fixed Price listings appear in your eBay Store as well as in eBay Search and Listings. The store allows your buyers to peruse your other items in addition to your auction items.

5 Reasons Why Blogging is the New Internet Marketing Tool

Blogging is a concept that started in late 90s. It used to be a way to comment an existing webpage, an opportunity for visitors and readers to react or voice out one’s opinion on the said page. What started as a single-sentence commentary has evolved into pages of personal take on just about anything and everything under the sun. As it continues to move forward, online advertising has tapped into the blog’s potential. Here are 5 reasons why you should use blogging as an Internet marketing tool.

Blogging is simple. The simplest way to get your piece on the net is through blogging. No skills are necessary… an average adult can read and type, or at least click a mouse. It’s like having a virtual piece of paper and you just write your ideas, experiences, new products, and hope that the truth behind your articles comes out and entice your reader to also try your product. If you have a PC and an Internet connection (who doesn’t?) then you can blog and advertise.

  1. Blogging is authentic. In this day and age where advertising saturate our lives, we question the credibility of promoters’ claims. However, in blogs, real people share their real-life experiences, unscathed by paid advertising. Reading blogs about first-hand product use is like talking to people about their first-hand experience. You definitely want to buy a tried and tested product.
  2. Blogging is free. Because blogging is yet to be proven as a mainstream online advertising media, most sites see it as something to augment current marketing tools and thus offer it for free. Any opportunity for free webtime is definitely a bonus especially to businesses that are starting up. Needless to say, paid blog pages can generate more income for your seriously growing business.
  3. Blogging builds credibility. As you get more and more into writing your experiences on a particular product or industry, your readers come to realize that they can depend on your posts for their own information needs. As such, you become an expert on it; as a consequence, more readers visit your site and more bloggers link to your blogs. As companies and professional organizations notice the growth of your readership base, they may soon get in touch with you for advertising on your blog page, or make you an affiliate, which pays for every referral generated from your blog site.
  4. Blogging builds your market. Unless you are a Hollywood star, chances are, only your Mom reads your posts. Mom has a lot of friends, so she lets her friends know how interesting your blog site is. But you need not depend on Mom to increase your readership base. Look into the following ways to build your market through blogging.
  • By using your e-mail. Today, blogging is overcoming the e-mail’s popularity in quickly and effectively reaching and expanding a market. In this age of speed and quick access, logging in and downloading e-mail is simply taking longer than clicking into a blog site. Let them explore your site by using a short e-mail message as teaser to your blog site. If your e-mail is on an entirely different subject, use your e-mail signature to give a link to the site.
  • By using subscription. An easy way to get your readers e-mail is to give them an opportunity to subscribe to your blogsite. Keep some exclusive information for your subscribers to entice readers to subscribe and give their e-mail address. Just be responsible in using their e-mail address, as the last thing you want is a comment on your blog that you are a spammer.
  • By understanding your readers. Conduct a simple survey for your readers to understand their profile and advertising preferences. Ask consumers to give you feedback on a post, an ad link, or a trial that you shared. In this way, it is like interviewing your readers without the commitment and intrusion of a face-to-face interview.
  • By joining a blog network –A network of blogs maybe a collection of blog sites that share the same industry, interest, readership base, payment mode, etc. Consumers find credibility and convenience in clicking one link to several real bloggers about a single subject. Clearly, more bloggers are better than one.

By using RSS. RSS is the fastest growing technology on the Internet today. As such, having RSS feeds to your blog is definitely another means of generating awareness for your readership base. Having a variety of feeds can add interest to your blog site.

Give your business a boost by effectively using blogging as an Internet marketing tool.

In the mean time, Good Luck on your journey to success…

Internet And Business Online – The Act Of Interdependence

The best role of business online is that of interdependency. We’ve all heard the old saying, “No man is an island.” When it comes to online business this is especially true.

If a business owner who takes their business into the online world determines they will be self reliant and never accept the help of anyone then that individual will not be in business long enough to change their minds.

It is accepted fact that the greatest tool for long-term exposure to your website is through Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Without it potential customers can’t find you. It is unreasonable to expect that you can adequately develop a website without optimizing your website for the best possible search engine ranking.

Search engines also place a high value on sites that have links placed on existing sites. These ‘backlinks’ demonstrate to search engines that others trust your site. By placing your link on their website these other businesses indicate a trust and recommendation for your site.

In effect the two strategies listed above rely exclusively on what others can do for you when it comes to your online business.

Shirley Temple once proclaimed in her movie Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm, “I’m very self-reliant.” American westerns are filled with lines dealing with pulling yourself up by your bootstraps and holding down the fort. Many of us have grown up to believe if we want something done right we have to do it ourselves.

This thinking is in opposition to the rules associated with an online business.

The online world can only exist because people share. Individuals share technology, but the also share links, reviews, blogs, forums and a wide range of other marketing strategies that find a commingling of interdependency.

In online business you are as dependent on others as they may be on you. Unlike the word ‘dependent’, the term interdependent indicates a mutual dependency. In other words you are depending on others to help provide links back to your site while they are equally dependent on you (or others) for the success of their business.

Have you really taken a proactive approach to networking? It’s possible you are reading this today and you’ve never considered asking someone else to place a link to your site on his or her online business site.

It can feel awkward depending on others to achieve online success especially if you’ve been lead to believe reliance on others is also a sign of imposing on their otherwise brilliant generosity.

I suppose it could be a deep-seated sense of pride that makes it hard to consider the need to ask others for help. However, the truth is depending on others is really what has made the Internet possible. The growth of this online world is comprised of a link of computers, networks and servers that are connected in a way that provides the maximum benefit for all.

Building an online business can feel a bit like trying to build a house of cards. Without the ability to rely on the other ‘cards’ around you it is virtually impossible to build.

Interdependence. This is the essence of online business.
